BCC honors for tennis, baseball
The girls’ tennis All-BCC team was named, with Barr-Reeve's Dylan DeCoursey, Claire Harrison and Sydney Swartzentruber all being named, as was Caitlin Carrico and Kieragen Napier of Loogootee, as was Grace Arnold, Caroline Beard, Grace Carie, Abby Cunningham, Alli Hayden and Anna Provines all of South Knox, while Kenadee Frey of Vincennes Rivet, Mya Cline of Washington Catholic Briley Rowe of Wood Memorial also made the list.
South Knox went 6-0 in the conference, Barr Reeve 5-1, Loogootee 4-2, NEDubois 3-3, Wood Memorial 2-4, Washington Catholic 1-5 and Vincennes Rivet ended 0-6. South Knox also nipped Barr-Reeve to win the All-Sports girls trophy.
In baseball, the BCC was won by Barr-Reeve with a 7-0 record.
The all-conference team was made up B-R's Ethan Graber, Jake Pauw, Loogootee's Lucas Brittain, Jacob Tedrow, Drew Walker, Kale Jonesof North Knox, Aidan Dodd, Clay Fuhrman, Ty Kalb of Northeast Dubois, Ayden Stiles of Shoals, Zach Allen, Dylan Maeder, Kaden McKinney of South Knox, Tommy Herman of Rivet and Wil Morton of Wood.
The All-Conference pitchers were Seth Wagler of Barr-Reeve, Loogootee's Luke Lengacher of Loogootee and Jacob Allen of South Knox.
Seth Wagler led the conference in hitting, batting .652, while Drew Walker and Waglee tied with 15 hits each.
Walker and Lucas Brittian had two home runs, Ethan Graber led in stolen bases, while Wagler led in strikeouts and ERA.
South Knox won the boys’ All-Sport Trophy, closely followed by Barr-Reeve.
