(Lewiston, ID) The Lewis-Clark State College theatre program will perform “The Turn of the Screw” from Nov. 7-17 at the Silverthorne Theatre. The play is open to the public and appropriate for ages 12 and up.

“This play will have you asking what is real and what isn’t. Who and what can you trust? Can you believe even your own eyes,” said Visiting Instructor of Theatre Lane Richins.

Tickets can be purchased by cash only at the door and general admission tickets are $10. Tickets for seniors, military, veterans, and students from other schools are $5. LC State students will receive free admission with a student ID card. The play will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, and at 2 p.m. on Sundays.

“‘A wealthy uncle from London hires a governess to care for his niece and nephew in the country manor of their dead parents. What she finds there, and what happens next… would not be very nice to give away here,” said Richins. “This spectral, eerie ghost story is simply staged, putting a premium on imagination. The show features two electrifying actors giving powerhouse performances: LC State students Jessica Riggs and Zachary Steadman, both biology majors. It also benefits from the talents of dialect coach Finn Drayden and Lighting Designer Clint Heimgartner.”

The play has been adapted by Jeffrey Hatcher from the novel by Henry James.
